Our Response to Takedown Notices
Once we receive a valid DMCA Takedown Notice, we will review the claim and may remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content. We will also notify the user who uploaded the content and may give them the opportunity to submit a counter-notice.
How to Submit a DMCA Counter-Notice
If you believe your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice. It must include the following:
- Identification of the content that was removed and its original URL.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your full legal name, mailing address, phone number, and email address.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your judicial district (or where our site is based), and that you will accept service of process from the original complainant.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content unless the copyright owner initiates legal action within a reasonable period.
Repeat Infringers
We may terminate access for users who are repeat infringers in accordance with the DMCA and our internal policies. Multiple valid takedown notices may result in account suspension or permanent removal.
